Portugal’s Civil Protection has issued strong warnings for low-lying riverside communities, particularly in areas around Santarém, Caneiras, and parts of the Tagus floodplain, where water levels are approaching critical thresholds.
Lisbon Metro says it is taking safety steps at Terreiro do Paço and Cais do Sodré stations. Passengers may face service disruptions this Friday.
